First, look at the date. If it's the August 14th, 2023 or later, it's too late. Sorry.
Otherwise:
Create a standard City of Mist character, following strictly the base guidelines introduced in the Free Quickstart and expanded upon in the Player's Guide: 4 Themes – either 1 Logos and 3 Mythos, 3 Logos and 1 Mythos, or 2 of each – with for each a name, a story hook (Identity/Mystery), a short description, three power tags, one weakness tag.
A good deal of the Player's Guide is dedicated to what makes a good tag so I won't delve into it too much here. The core idea is always the same however: It must be a good base for a story. Ideally, you should be able to look at any element of your character sheet and have a thousand ideas pop in your brain.
For people from a D&D(-like) background: CoM does not have "utilitarian" and "fluff" skills. It has fluff tags that are utilitarian because they are fluff. The more you like your tags and have grand ideas about how to employ them, the better they are. Also, all tags are mechanically equal. In particular, a Mythos tag is as strong as a Logos tag.
Once your character is ready, register on the forum using you character name as Username. When asked about a word, think about what's not real, singular, all lower case.
Then send your Character Sheet to me by Private Message. I'll check it and set up your private forum, a place that only you and the GM can see.
Then you can officially tell other players about your character in the appropriate thread.
The next step will be for you to post in the demo event. Because I would rather make sure you've read the other rules and truly are all set up (registered on Sakkaku, comfortable with forum syntax...) in the tranquil span before the actual game begins rather than taking it all in a rush during the first 24 hours.
After you've done all that: Congratulations! You're now ready. Now, just need to wait a few days/weeks/months for the game to truly begin.

Tulip “Ishmael” Toan
Art:

Concept:
Tulip could never keep a job for long before.
But since she's started seeing the strangest, most terrible, things, the problem has only gotten worst.
Is fate just toying with her? Or is there a reason, a plan, behind all those encounters?
Themes:
A thousand trades
Logos
"Whatever you need done, I can do."
An eventful life can lead up to taking a lot of odd jobs.
Power: a knack for novelty, eclectic skill set, not afraid of getting dirty[/tag]
Weakness: master of none
The Rat
Logos
"To be clever or to be squished."
Betrayed the Cat. Tricked the Ox. Won the Race.
Power: seemingly harmless, consummate sycophant, an eye for opportunity
Weakness: known liar
Watcher of the strange
Mythos
"What am I to see?"
Can't go a day without eyeing something weird.
Power: true sight, always attentive, unalterable memory
Weakness: the abyss looks back
To bear witness
Mythos
"How am I still alive?"
Has watched the overture to the apocalypse being played and lived to tell the tale.
Power: uncanny danger sense, self-serving luck, divine protection
Weakness: helpless spectator
